Chatham Christian School offers a Fine Arts program for students to develop and showcase their artistic and musical talents, as well as athletics and service opportunities. The school has multiple choirs and bands, and puts on plays and musicals. Students can also participate in various sports, and are encouraged to get involved in service work in the community and on trips around the world.
The Fine Arts program at Chatham Christian is a valuable element of the overall school experience as it provides a balance to academic courses while developing creative talents. Through participation in the visual and performing arts, students can showcase their God-given musical, dramatic and artistic talents.
The elementary school provides every student the opportunity to sing in a choir. Grade 6-8 students participate in band twice a week. The high school offers both choir and band courses for credit. These bands and choirs perform at school events in the winter and spring and throughout the Chatham-Kent at a variety of public events. They also perform annually in the Kiwanis Music Festival and have received high marks and a number of prestigious awards over the years.
The elementary school provides opportunities for students to share their art annually through a travelling art show. They have also done a number of musicals over the years.
The High School puts on a play or musical every year. Past performances have included Anne of Green Gables, Scrooge, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, and many others.

Athletics at Chatham Christian is an extension of the classroom. We believe that God has gifted each child and He has blessed some of his children with athletic talent. We believe the purpose of the interscholastic athletic program is to develop those special gifts. We believe that student athletes should be taught how to play the game or sport. We also believe that includes much more than how to win. It means how to play, how to dignify the game, honour the opponents or other competitors, the officials and even the spectators. Most of all, it means how we play to praise our Maker.
Students at the elementary and high school level have the opportunity to play in the local public school leagues and with other Christian schools at tournaments. We participate in soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country, track and field and badminton.
The mission statement of Chatham Christian School expresses our desire to prepare students “for Christ like service in all areas of life”. The classroom is a great place to learn about this but in order for this to become real we want our students to get out of the class and serve. For that reason we provide a number of opportunities to extend what is learned in the classroom to service in the community.
Our high school students start to move into increasingly wider areas of service. Their course work and class trips have them serving at various places in Chatham-Kent, London and Toronto. They also have opportunities to take longer service trips to places like the mountains of West Virginia, the jungles of Bolivia, and inner cities in the Dominican.

Student council is the resource students have to voice their opinions and share their vision for their high school years. We have been blessed with great student leadership for many years who have helped shape the culture of CCS into a healthy one. Student council hosts potlucks, ski trips, spirit days, etc. so that the school can foster a positive and encouraging environment each day for students.
